USA-Taiwan Economy Meeting Planned
It was stated that the United States intends to discuss issues concerning its economic relations with Taiwan. It was noted that the discussions would take place under the headings of supply chain and agricultural product trade.
While President of the United States of America
Joe Biden's Taiwan blunder during his first Asian visit will raise the tension with China, the United States will take another step that will increase it further.
According to recent economic news, the United States will hold talks with Taiwan to strengthen economic ties. The discussions will center on streamlining trade procedures, supply chain management, and agricultural product trading. These titles are similar to those announced by US President Biden during his visit to Asia as part of the framework of regional economic cooperation.
Ineffective frame criticism
These planned meetings are among the most important studies after the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement, which was started during the Obama era and ended by former President Trump. However, unlike the old agreement, the new framework does not include any customs duty reductions, and its economic benefits are difficult to measure because it is not clear which parts are binding.
Speaking about the agreement, the relevant participants said, “With this framework, we aim to make progress in areas such as resilience, sustainability, inclusiveness, economic growth, fairness and competitiveness in our economies. We hope that the initiative will contribute to areas such as cooperation, stability, prosperity, development and peace in the region.
