USA's Oil Rigs Increased by 12. The number of oil drilling rigs in the USA increased by 12. The number of oil rigs, which are considered as indicators of the country's oil industry outlook and short-term crude oil production, has increased this week.
According to weekly data released by Baker Hughes, known as the oilfield services company, the number of oil rigs in the US reached 258 in the week of December 5-11, up 12 compared to the previous week.
The barrel price of Brent oil, finished at $ 50.25 on Thursday, closed at $ 49.97 on Friday. The barrel price of West Texas (WTI) type crude oil closed Friday at $ 46.57. WTI type crude oil closed on Thursday at the level of 46.78 dollars.
