USD/TL Rate Continues Its Downward Movement

The dollar/TL exchange rate, which saw below the level of 7 for the first time in 6 months on the first trading day of the week, continued to decline in the first transactions on Tuesday. While below 6.95 was tested in the currency, it was seen that the dollar decreased in global markets.
The Bloomberg Dollar Index fell 0.1 percent in the first trades on the second day of the week. Developing country currencies are positive against the dollar, led by the South African rand.
Turkey's risk premium decreased to 283 basis points, while benchmark bond interest was recorded as 14.81 percent.
Turkish-US Foreign Ministers Meet for the First Time

Biden's presidency, the first high-level meeting between the US and Turkey took place with the foreign ministers. In the telephone conversation, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and his US counterpart, Antony Blinken, discussed many issues from the S-400s to the massacre of 13 citizens in Gara.
