USD / TL rate starts the new week with an increase on December 7. The dollar / TL, which closed the week at 7.8011 level after the intense data agenda, started Monday with gains.
Following the announcement of the third quarter growth and the inflation figures for November last week, the dollar / TL exchange rate, which completed the week at 7.8011, started the new week by gaining value.
Dollar / TL traded at around 7.8400 level with 0.50 percent gain at 10.10. Euro / TL traded at 9.5075. The currency basket was recorded as 8.6737.
BIST 100 Index, which completed Friday with a flat course in
Borsa Istanbul, started the week at 1.329.58 points with a decrease of 0.10 percent. The indicator index finished last week with a limited increase compared to the previous week.
Growth figures for the third quarter of the year were announced last week. Accordingly, Turkey's economy was felt less negative effects of the coronavirus outbreak. The economy grew by 6.7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, well above expectations.
According to the data announced by TURKSTAT, inflation was realized above the expectations of economists in November. Thus, it tested the peak of the year 2020, which was passed by the effect of the epidemic. Consumer prices, on the other hand, increased by 14.03 percent on an annual basis and 2.3 percent monthly.
Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO) announced that the manufacturing PMI was 51.4 in November.
International credit rating agency Moody's, did not chance Turkey's credit rating and credit outlook.
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance will announce the budget cash balance for November at 5.30 pm today. In the January - October period, a budget cash deficit of 147.5 billion TL was announced.
