Visa Plans To Expand The Use Of BTC!
Visa has drawn up a plan to popularize the use and acceptance of Bitcoin.
Global payments giant Visa plans to expand the use of
BTC. Visa's CEO, Alfred Kelly, spoke to Fortune podcast, Leadership Next. In his statement, Kelly announced his plans for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
Commenting on the subject, Kelly said, “We are trying to do two things. The first is to enable the purchase of Bitcoin with Visa cards. And second, by working with Bitcoin wallets, Bitcoin can be easily converted to fiat money, thus allowing instant use in 70 million locations around the world where Visa is accepted." Kelly further stated that they saw a strong potential in this second issue, especially in emerging markets to become a new payment instrument.
Alfred Kelly stated that they have been working with many players in the digital money market and the number of companies they are working with is 35.
Kelly stated in January that they saw cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin as "digital gold".
Visa, on the one hand, works for the end user, on the other hand, carries out projects to provide banks with cryptocurrency technology. The company reached an agreement in February to partner with Anchorage to enable customers in traditional banks to buy and sell Bitcoins.
On the other hand, Mastercard, known as Visa's competitor, recently announced that it plans to integrate cryptocurrencies with its network before the end of the year.
