With the falsely published statement, Volkswagen's plan to change its name to the US operation Voltswagen of America emerged.
While the spokesperson of the company did not make any explanation about the issue, people knowledgeable about the subject confirmed the accuracy of the press release.
According to a statement released by mistake on Monday, the name change of the company was expected to be made in May and a public announcement of Volkswagen's plan to invest in electric technologies.
In the statement in question, it was stated that "the foundations of Volkswagen heritage will be preserved", instead of the dark blue logo used by the company for gasoline cars, a new light blue logo will be used in new
electric cars.
