Wall Street Continued To Grow And Break Records
Wall Street continued to grow and break records on Thursday. It was supported by the prospect of new incentives and a relaxed central bank (Fed) policy.
All three major US indices ended trading at historic closing highs.
The key US
Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.49 percent on Thursday to close at 30,303.37 points.
The broader S&P 500 rose 0.58 percent to 3722.48 points and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.84 percent to 12,764.75 points.
With a day's delay, US central bank statements had a positive effect on US stocks. The Fed will continue its crisis policy in the wake of the
pandemic. Interest rates remain at zero.
The Fed also said it would continue to buy bonds worth at least $ 120 billion (€ 98 billion) a month until it sees significant progress towards its employment and price stability goals.
While some stock marketers expected more, the Fed reaffirmed its readiness to continue supporting the economy, which ultimately helped to improve market sentiment. Now, there is also growing pressure on politicians to agree on another package of aid.
