This week, the stock market, gold, and foreign currencies lost on a weekly basis. While stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul lost an average of 1.82 percent on a weekly basis, the price of gold per gram lost 2.43 percent, USD/TL decreased by 4.32 percent, and Euro/TL decreased by 4.65 percent.
This week, the BIST 100 index in
Borsa Istanbul saw the lowest 1.511.29 points and the highest 1.589.47 points. After these levels, the BIST 100 index closed the week with 1.528.99 points with a 1.82 percent decrease compared to the previous week's close.
While the selling price per gram of 24-carat
gold bullion, traded in the Grand Bazaar, fell by 2.43 percent to 405.60 liras, the selling price of Republican gold fell by 2.43 percent to 2.692.00 liras. The sales price of the quarter gold, which was 674.00 liras last week, decreased to 658.00 liras.
The US dollar, which lost 4.32 percent this week, fell to 7.2630 lira, while the Euro fell 4.65 percent to 8.6320 lira.
Mutual funds gained 0.06 percent in value, while private pension funds gained 0.04 percent. In terms of categories, the highest earning among mutual funds was recorded as "Debt Instruments Funds" and "Money Market Funds" with 0.30 percent.
