While the stocks traded in Borsa Istanbul lost 2.04 percent on a weekly basis this week, the selling price of gold increased by 3.08 percent, USD/TL exchange rate increased by 2.15 percent, and Euro/TL rate by 2.18 percent. This week, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul saw the lowest 1,392.87 points and the highest 1,459.26 points. Following these levels, the BIST 100 index finished the week at 1,422.06 points, depreciating by 2.05 percent compared to the previous week's closing. The selling price of 24-carat gold bullion, traded in the Grand Bazaar this week, increased to 521.60 TL with a 3.08 percent value increase, and the sales price of the Republican gold to 3.457.00 TL with a 3.07 percent gain. Last week, the sales price of the quarter gold, which was 819.00 TL, rose to 845.00 TL. The US dollar, which appreciated by 2.15 percent this week, rose to 8,5650 TL, while the Euro increased by 2.18 percent to 10,4340 TL. While mutual funds gained 0.45 percent this week, private pension funds gained 0.60 percent. “Precious Metals Funds” was the highest earner among mutual funds with 2.33 percent.
