Which 3 Stocks Should Be Monitored Next Week? Which 3 stocks should be monitored next week? Shares of Walmart, Home Depot and NVIDIA stand out for the coming week. The uncertainty in the markets ended when the winner of the US elections held on November 3 was finally announced last week. On the other hand, it is said that a potential volatility period has entered again with the increase of coronavirus (Covid-19) cases all over the world, especially with the start of quarantine practices in European countries. Nowadays, investors are focused on the economic recovery after the epidemic, driven by positive news about the coronavirus vaccine. With the impact of vaccine news, the S&P 500 and Russell 2000 indices saw their historic peaks, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average Index saw their pre-epidemic levels. In addition, investors are also looking forward to the latest revenue reports of the US's largest retail companies. In this context, the 3 shares, which will be discussed below, may increase its mobility after the announcement of the quarterly results.
  1. Walmart
Walmart (NYSE: WMT), described as the largest retailer in the USA, will release its data for the third quarter on Tuesday, November 17. Consensus estimates were of $ 132.08 billion in sales revenue, as well as $ 1.18 in profit per share. As a result of the coronavirus epidemic, people returning to their homes and stocking kitchen products and starting to use more daily consumer goods created a chance for the company to turn the crisis into an opportunity. The company's e-commerce division broke a record in the second quarter with a 97 percent growth rate in online sales compared to last year. Accordingly, investors raised their WMT shares by 27 percent this year, with the expectations of a stronger quarterly report. The stock, which gained 1.56 percent on Friday, closed the day at $ 150.54. Continuing uncertainty regarding the second stimulus package in the USA may put pressure on future sales.
  1. Home Depot
Home Depot (NYSE: HD), a home decor business, will release its latest revenue report before the market opening on Tuesday. Analysts expect $ 3.05 per share with sales revenue of $ 31.78 billion. After the collapse in March, Home Depot shares gained more than 80 percent as a result of people shutting down their homes due to the epidemic spending more money on home decoration. In addition, the increase in costs reflected negatively on the company's margins. The shares, which remained stable in the last quarter, closed on Friday with $ 277.17.   3.NVIDIA NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA), one of the leading chip manufacturers in the world, will announce the third quarter data after the market closing on Wednesday, November 18. Analysts expect the company to earn $ 2.57 per share, with sales revenue of $ 4.41 billion. This year, the increasing demand for chips for data centers and game consoles was reflected in the company as high performance. Having hit a $ 588.01 peak on November 6, the stock has gained nearly 130 percent since the beginning of the year. This rate means a performance well above the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index, which has increased up to 36 percent so far. NVIDIA, which closed Friday at $ 531.88, is now among the highest valued shares. The price-income ratio of the share stands at 97.7, compared to 43.64, which is the average of the semiconductor group. This situation compares the stock with the risk of correction against an adverse situation that will be encountered in the environment of economic and geopolitical sensitivity recently.     Source: investing.com
