Who is Bitcoin Creator Satoshi Nakamoto?

Who is Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto? In an age where being anonymous is difficult, the identity of the inventor of cryptocurrencies remains a mystery.

Thirteen years ago, a person or group using the name Satoshi Nakamoto published an article describing a new system called Bitcoin. Today, Bitcoin is valued at more than $1 trillion and could restructure the global financial network, its supporters believe. However, there is a mystery at the heart of bitcoin. Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? On October 31, 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto sent a nine-page article to a group of cryptographers outlining a new form of "electronic cash" called bitcoin. Back then, no one cared about Nakamoto's identity. Most of the people in this group were skeptical of the Bitcoin idea itself. Cryptographers and developers like Hal Finney, Nick Szabo, David Chaum, and Wei Dai have been trying to develop an electronic version of cash for more than a decade. All of them failed for various reasons. On January 9, 2009, Nakamoto launched the Bitcoin network. Hal Finney was one of the few people interested, and in the first weeks the two worked remotely to run the network. The first Bitcoin transaction took place between Nakamoto and Finney. For nearly two years, while Bitcoin was slowly growing, Nakamoto wrote on message boards and corresponded privately with developers. In December 2010, Nakamoto stopped posting publicly and meeting with developers in 2011. Nakamoto handed over the leadership of the project to Gavin Andresen, a software developer. Nakamoto never spoke about anything personal, even in public messages and even in private messages that were released later. Nothing about biographical, weather or what's happening locally. It was all about bitcoin and its code. Nakamoto used two email addresses and a website. No other public information. In an age where being anonymous is difficult, Nakamoto has managed to remain a ghost. There are about one million Bitcoins that were "mined" and never moved in Bitcoin's first year. Today these Bitcoins are worth about $55 billion. This accumulation makes Nakamoto one of the 30 richest people in the world, according to the Forbes real-time billionaires list. It is assumed that these one million Bitcoins are controlled only by Nakamoto. To move them, you must have the "private key", which is a long, unique string of letters and numbers that controls access. It's been ten years since Nakamoto disappeared. It is possible that the creator of Bitcoin died without giving the private keys to anyone. Finney and Andresen, who died in 2014, were thought to be Nakamotos for almost anyone who even remotely works with Bitcoin. They all denied it, and no evidence to the contrary was found.
