Will PayPal Be A Bitcoin Supporter?
Will PayPal be a Bitcoin supporter? Cryptocurrency experts evaluated the issue with examples.
According to famous cryptocurrency experts, PayPal will follow Square. With its statements made since the end of 2019, PayPal has been attracting the attention of cryptocurrency exchanges. As an example, experts reminded that according to CNF’s announcements, PayPal is advancing its "crypto capabilities" and supporting an appropriate legal framework in a message to the European Commission.
PayPal used the following statements in the text in question:
“PayPal continuously monitors and evaluates global developments in the crypto and blockchain / distributed ledger space. Of particular interest to us is that these technologies and crypto assets need to achieve greater financial inclusion and mitigate some of the problems that exist in financial services today; is how we can use it to help eliminate it.”
After this message, payment giant PayPal announced in July that they would cooperate with crypto broker Paxis. When these developments are considered together,
cryptocurrency experts say PayPal will be the new big company supporting Bitcoin.
What Does Experts Say?
Ari Paul, CIO and managing partner at BlockTower Capital, said this last week:
“Square news is great, but PayPal has 10 times more users and we will see PayPal announcing support for BTC by the end of the year.”
Popular macro analyst Alex Krüger said the following on the subject:
“The few companies that add Bitcoin to their balance sheets are both on the rise and overrated. The function of a corporate treasury is not to invest. Therefore, the probability of a Bitcoin domino effect among companies is very low.”
