World's Number One Cryptocurrency Bitcoin Is Approaching $ 50 Thousand!
Bitcoin, the world's # 1 cryptocurrency, continues to rise in 2021, approaching a $ 50,000.
Bitcoin was approaching a psychological turning point around $ 50,000 on Sunday.
According to CoinDesk, it provides institutional investors with a successful investment ground in the short term and the growing interest in crypto has helped Bitcoin to reach a new record level of $ 49,716.44.
Bitcoin's year-to-date gains of over 64 percent, the Dow Jones Industrial Average's DJIA 2.8 percent increase, the S&P 500 index a 4.8 percent increase and compared to the 9.4 percent rise of the Nasdaq Composite Index COMP, there is a huge increase.
While there is no specific news that helps boost Bitcoin gains, the ever-increasing interest among the traditional investment community is clearly aiding the asset's rise.
Morgan Stanley reported that MS's investment management unit called Counterpoint Global is looking into buying crypto for investors, according to Bloomberg news released over the weekend.
This report comes after The Wall Street Journal said earlier last week that the Bank of New York Mellon would allow it to hold, transfer, and issue Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on behalf of its clients.
Roman Regelman, CEO of BNY Mellon's Wealth Services, told the following to WSJ, "Digital assets are becoming a part of the mainstream."
Not only that, but Mastercard MA announced last Wednesday that it will support certain cryptocurrencies on its network later this year.
Tesla Inc. TSLA, on the other hand, announced that it purchased $ 1.5 billion of Bitcoins and that their aim would allow consumers to use Bitcoin to buy their products.
