Intel today is trading $ 59.18, it went up with $0.76 mainly because today Intel is regarded as the leading technology provider in the fast-growing market for highly and fully autonomous vehicles. Intel recently acquired Israel autonomous driving technology company Mobileye and Moovit which analyzes traffic patterns and provides the data to third parties such as Uber and approximately 7.500 transit authorities. This acquisition gave intel a wide range of technologies used in autonomous driving and the extensive list of car manufacturers Mobileye was already working with. This, therefore, made the company shares to go up because clearly Intel is working towards becoming a full-service provider of technologies for autonomous driving; and these deals allow Intel to integrate Moovits technology into Mobileyes mobility as a service offering which is currently used in 60 million vehicles worldwide.
