11.8 billion liras paid for loan expenses. The non-interest income received by the banks in the first 9 months of the year was 75 billion 242 million TL.
According to the information obtained from the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (
BDDK) data, the non-interest income obtained by the banks in the first 9 months of the year decreased by 5.9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and was recorded as 75 billion 242 million TL.
While the share of fees and commissions from loans in non-interest income was 15.7 percent, the said income decreased by 0.2 percent compared to the 9 months of the previous year and decreased to 11 billion 839 million liras.
As of the end of September 2020, the amount of fees and commissions received on cash loans was calculated as 5 billion 766 million TL, and the amount received over non-cash loans was 6 billion 73 million TL.
The income obtained by banks through the services they provide decreased by 13.6 percent compared to the January-September period of the previous year and was recorded as 31 billion 423 million TL.
The share of the income obtained from banking services in total non-interest income was 41.8 percent.
As of the end of September this year, the revenues from the sale of assets were recorded as 1 billion 997 million TL, other non-interest income excluding dividends as 25 billion 567 million TL, and dividends received as 4 billion 417 million TL.
The decline in
banking service revenues played an important role in the decrease in total non-interest income.
