16.9 Billion Support Provided to the Farmer 16.9 billion worth of support was provided to the farmer. It is estimated that the support to be provided to farmers this year will reach 22 billion liras. The state continues to support the farmer. Farmers are contributed in many areas such as livestock, crop production, diesel oil and fertilizers. Within the scope of these supports, according to the budget data of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance in August, a total of 16 billion 973 million TL agricultural support was given to the farmer in 8 months. While providing approximately 2 billion 900 million diesel fuel support; fertilizer support was 840 million lira. Approximately 2 billion 750 million lira was paid to calf breeders. Wheat producers were supported with 1 billion 310 million TL; 900 million lira was given to ovine breeders. Payments made by Türkşeker to the farmer were recorded as 1 billion 200 million TL. Throughout the pandemic, the advance cost of pulp and beet reached 400 million lira. The budget allocated for agricultural supports was increased by 36.7 percent in 2020. In addition, this year the support provided to the farmer is expected to reach 22 billion lira.
