3 Stocks to Watch Next Week
3 stocks to watch next week have been determined. Those shares were shares of Tesla, Broadcom and American Airlines.
Ahead of the shortened trading week, with US markets closed for the Independence Day holiday on Monday, July 4, investors will focus on how the number of cases affects the markets.
Investors will be keeping a close eye on the following 3 stocks as concerns persist about the rapidly spreading delta variant.
1-Tesla
Activity could be seen in the company's stock this week, as electric car maker
Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) announced on Friday that it delivered a record 201,250 vehicles worldwide in the second quarter. Quarterly sales data, released ahead of the company's second-quarter figures to be released on Monday, July 26, give important signals about the company's financial position as supply chain problems that affect the entire automotive industry continue.
Shares of the California-based company have tumbled nearly 4 percent this year, closing Friday at $678.90. Stocks, which were under pressure until June, showed some signs of recovery in the last month and gained more than 12 percent
2- Broadcom
Late last week, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) accused computer chip supplier Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) of unlawfully monopolizing the semiconductor components market.
While the commission unanimously ruled that a lawsuit be filed against the company, the new chairman of the commission, Lina Khan, did not participate in the vote. The Commission also agreed to a consent order from Broadcom will be signed, addressing the issues in the complaint.
Broadcom shares, which gained about 7 percent this year, closed Friday at $468.17.
3. American Airlines
Investors will carefully monitor the developments in air travel on the 4th of July holiday weekend, which may show the demand for travel in the summer, after the restrictions applied for more than a year as part of the measures against the Covid-19 epidemic.
These capacity limitations and the worry of new Covid-19 variants are weighing on AAL stock. Shares have dropped nearly 16 percent in the past month. The stock, which closed Friday at $21.48, rose 36 percent in 2021.
