5.4 Million Passengers Used the Airports in 1 Month
The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, State Airports Authority (DHMI) announced the airline plane, passenger and freight statistics for February.

According to the announced data, in February, when the number of aircraft landing and taking off at the airports where all measures were taken within the scope of combating the
coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic, there was a total of 75 thousand 34 aircraft traffic with overpasses in February, while the number of aircraft landing and taking off reached 45 thousand 694 on domestic lines and 16 thousand 927 on international flights.
Domestic passenger traffic at the airports serving throughout the country was 3 million 722 thousand 311, while the international passenger traffic was 1 million 668 thousand 444. Accordingly, 5 million 392 thousand 419 passengers were served along with direct transit passengers during the period in question.
Cargo (cargo, mail and baggage) traffic at airports was 38 thousand 302 tons on domestic flights, 147 thousand 758 tons on international lines, and 186 thousand 60 tons in total.
Istanbul Airport Hosted More Than 1 Million Passengers
While the traffic of aircraft landing and taking off at Istanbul Airport in February was 3 thousand 882 on domestic flights, it was 13 thousand 891 in total, 10 thousand 9 on international flights.
A total of 1 million 647 thousand 756 passengers, 459 thousand 53 on domestic flights and 1 million 188 thousand 703 on international flights, were served at Istanbul Airport in February. At Istanbul Atatürk Airport, where general aviation activities and cargo transportation continues, 2,846 aircraft traffic was recorded in February.
According to these data, there was a total of 16 thousand 737 aircraft traffic at the two airports.
