With the works carried out, it is aimed to increase the number of settlements where natural gas supply is provided to at least 661. Making a statement on the subject, BOTAS General Manager Burhan Özcan stated that since the end of last year, natural gas has been delivered to 581 districts in total. Within the scope of supply security in natural gas, the total storage capacity of Lake Tuz and Northern Marmara Natural Gas Storage facilities reached 3.84 billion cubic meters, while the daily withdrawal capacity was 45 million cubic meters. LNG's share in Turkey's natural gas imports had increased to 28 percent in 2019.
