A Defense Industry Investment Fund Will Be Established In Turkey

A defense industry investment fund will be established in Turkey. The fund will partner with companies and support them.

Chairman of the Presidency of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir announced that a study has been initiated to establish a defense industry investment fund recently. Continuing his meetings in Elazig, Prof. Dr. Demir met with Deputy Minister of National Defense Şuay Alpay within the scope of the "Defense Industry Elazig Meeting" program held in a hotel in the city, with industrialists and businessmen. Demir pointed out that they provide an annual support of 150 million TL to industrialists, small subsidiaries and entrepreneurs, but that financing and capabilities are much more important than financial support. Stating that they have recently established a defense industry investment fund, they have started a study to become partners and support companies and enterprises that they see entrepreneurial spirit and technology depth through this fund, and to invest through the investment fund, Demir said: "I hope we will announce this soon and we will try to support entrepreneurs and investors quickly. In addition, our R&D funds continue. With industrial efficiency support program and evaluation support program, we evaluate various companies and inform them about what needs to be done to improve them, and we discuss various supports in this regard. "
