A New Era Begins in Organized Industrial Zones
A new era begins in organized industrial zones. Organized industrial zones will play a key role in the new economic period.
Memiş Kütükcü, President of the Organized Industrial Zones Supreme Organization (OSBÜK), stated that in the new economic period emphasized by
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, organized industrial zones will play a critical role and continued as follows:
“We need to be ready for this critical process with our infrastructures, our investor-friendly perspective, and our new allocation areas.”
In the statement made by OSBÜK, it was noted that the organization held an online meeting with the participation of Hasan Büyükdede, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Abdullah Tancan, and 181 OIZ representatives with distribution license. In this meeting, the problems and demands of OIZs in the field of energy were discussed.
OSBÜK President Kütükçü, said that future of Turkey is in the OSB and said:
“I hope the coming period will be a new era in which OIZs will shine even more with new investments. OIZs will play a critical role in the economy as underlined by our
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. We need to be ready for this critical process with our infrastructures, investor-friendly perspective, and new allocation areas. The favor of our investors to our OIZs is increasing day by day.”
Pointing out that the existing OIZs are being expanded and new OIZs are being established, Kütükcü gave the following information:
“Despite the new type of coronavirus (Covidien-19) outbreak in Turkey, 11 new OIZ’s were established in Adana, Antalya, Aydın, Edirne, Hakkari, Kocaeli, Kütahya, Manisa, Sivas, Uşak and Yozgat. Our Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank stated that the establishment of 16 new OIZs will be completed next year. In addition, with the increase in the budget of our Ministry for OIZs in 2021, the infrastructures of these regions will be further strengthened.”
Kütükçü continued as follows:
“It was decided that our OIZs, who paid the fines, would be given the amounts paid in case they issue a return invoice. In addition, our OIZs were given time to make the SCADA connection until January 31, 2021.”
