A Total Of 2.6 Million Vehicles Were Sold In China In October
The Chinese car market continued to recover. A total of 2.6 million vehicles were sold in China in October, a year-on-year increase of 12.5 percent.
The Chinese Automobile Manufacturers Association (CAAM) informed about it.
The balance also includes sales of buses and trucks. Demand for SUVs and other passenger cars grew faster than the overall market, the association said without providing further information. In September, year-on-year sales strengthened by 17.4 percent.
In the ten months of the year to the end of October, 19.7 million cars were sold in
China, which was 4.7 percent less than in the same period last year.
However, compared to the first half of the year, during which sales fell by 6.9 percent, the situation improved. The Chinese government declared victory over the
coronavirus in March.
The country thus became the first of the world's largest economies to return to normal life after the pandemic.
