The activity of the German sportswear brand
Adidas in China has dropped by 85 percent, as stores closed due to
coronavirus and fear of contamination reduced consumer appetite.
According to the email sent by Adidas, the decline in the company's activities occurred in the period after January 25. In addition, the sports brand reported a slight decline in
Japan and
South Korea but had no significant impact on the activity.
In China, authorities took drastic measures to combat the new virus, which killed more than 2,000 people. Businesses encouraged their employees to stay at home, while shopping malls and restaurants evacuated. Amusement parks and theaters are closed.
