The acceleration of normalization with the ongoing vaccination activities within the scope of the fight against the coronavirus epidemic in Europe was also reflected in the increase in the number of daily flights.
According to the flight traffic report of the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (
EUROCONTROL), dated June 21 (yesterday), France ranked first with 2,817 flights, followed by Germany with 2,810 flights and Spain with 2,776 flights.
Italy ranked fourth with 2,245 flights, while Turkey ranked fifth with 2,000 flights.
Greece has shown a 32 percent increase in air traffic (1,155 flights) in the last two weeks. France followed Greece with an increase of 20 percent and Italy with an increase of 17 percent.
In the report, it was stated that after the vaccination and flight restrictions were relaxed in some countries in the last 2 weeks, an increase was observed in the flight network all over the world, and a 3 percent decrease was observed in only the UK's air traffic during the same period.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova announced that flights to Turkey will start as of 22 June.
Russia has reported that it has decided to limit travel to Turkey from April 15 to June 1 due to the rise in the number of coronavirus cases.
