British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that all entries and exits to England will be closed due to different unidentified mutations of the coronavirus. Prime Minister Johnson stated that Britain's travel corridors will be closed to all countries, and all visitors from abroad will be asked to test negative coronavirus (Covid-19) within 72 hours to enter the country. Johnson informed that the rules will be implemented at 4:00 am on Monday.
Speaking at a press conference held on Friday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated that visitors can be checked upon arrival in the UK and could be subject to significant fines if they do not comply.
“We will increase our sanctions both at the border and in the country.”
In the previous process, countries that did not need quarantine when visitors entered the UK included Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Rwanda and Norway.
