The supply of
Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to Europe will be reduced for a while. The two companies will rescale their manufacturing operations.
Pfizer and BioNTech, two companies that have partnered to produce a new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine, made a joint statement on the supply of vaccines to Europe. In the statement of the companies, it was underlined that they are working intensively to reach the new production target of 2 billion doses for 2021.
In the statement, it was said that manufacturing operations will be rescaled in order to increase the achievable dose amount and production, and that the additional regulation requires modifications for progress and operation that will demand authority approvals.
