American Airlines revenues fell from 64 percent

American Airlines ended the loss of $ 2.2 billion in the fourth quarter as people stopped traveling during the
pandemic. After adjusting for non-recurring items, the company's loss in the final quarter of last year was $ 3.86 per share. In the same period a year ago, the carrier made a
profit of $ 414 million.
Its revenue for October through December decreased more than 64 percent to $ 4.03 billion compared to the same period last year. The airline expects similar revenue trends to continue during the first three months of this year. It expects sales to be 60 to 65 percent weaker year-over-year in the first quarter of 2021.
The loss for the fourth quarter ended the year for American Airlines, during which it lost a total of $ 8.9 billion. In 2019, the company reported a profit of $ 1.7 billion.
