Another change took place in the CBRT. Accordingly, CBRT Vice President Murat Çetinkaya was dismissed.
Another change took place in the
CBRT administration. Vice President of the
Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) Murat Çetinkaya was dismissed by a sudden decision of President Erdogan. Mustafa Duman was brought in to replace Çetinkaya.
Accordingly, Murat Çetinkaya was dismissed within the scope of Article 2 of the Presidential Decree numbered 3 with the additional article 35 of the Decree Law No.375.
Who is Mustafa Duman?
Born in 1969, Mustafa Duman is graduated from METU Business Administration Department. After graduating from here, he completed his MBA in City University CASS Business School, London and his Master's Degree in Capital Markets at Marmara University Banking Institute.
In Morgan Stanley Securities, he was appointed as Deputy General Manager in January 2013, General Manager by proxy since February 2020, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors since March 2020.
In August 2020, he took the role of General Manager in person. During his banking career, he worked in Audit, Treasury, Risk Management and CFO positions. He became part of the founding team of a bank and two brokerage houses. Throughout his career, he managed the process in important projects in various business areas and led the teams.
