Approximately 300 Thousand Tourism Workers were Vaccinated
Approximately 300 thousand tourism workers were vaccinated in Turkey. Nadir Alpaslan, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, made a statement on the subject.
Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Nadir Alpaslan stated that according to the vaccine supply, all tourism workers will be vaccinated at the end of June, "Currently, about 300 thousand tourism professionals have been vaccinated. We can say that two thirds of the tourism professionals are vaccinated."
Alpaslan spoke about the vaccination process of tourism professionals and the start of flight traffic between Turkey and Russia at the "Security for Tourism" event organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Antalya.
Stating that they hosted the mission chiefs of 90 countries in Antalya and explained the Safe Tourism Certification to them on site, Alpaslan stated that they showed the ambassadors how safe and comfortable the tourists can have a holiday in
Turkey.
Reminding that vaccination of tourism professionals started as of April, Alpaslan said, "We aimed to vaccinate all tourism professionals at the end of May. According to the vaccine supply, all tourism workers will be vaccinated at the end of June. Currently, approximately 300 thousand of our tourism professionals have been vaccinated. We can say that two-thirds of the tourism professionals have been vaccinated."
Attempting to Start Flight Traffic with Russia
Stating that the first agenda item of the meetings of Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy in Russia last week was the start of the flight traffic between the two countries, Alpaslan stated that the Russian delegation would come to Turkey as soon as possible and make an on-site determination.
Stating that they continue to work with Russia as well as their contacts with all countries, Alpaslan continued as follows:
"Starting the flight traffic with Russia is extremely important for Turkey and for Turkish tourism. We hope that the flight traffic with Russia will start as soon as possible. The work on this continues at full speed."
