OİB), the September exports of the automotive sector increased by 0.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 2 billion 605 million dollars. Placing first in Turkey's export list again, total foreign sales was calculated as 17.5 percent.
January-September exports of the automotive sector fell 24 percent compared to the same period of 2019 and reached $ 17.1 billion due to the negative reflections of the Coronavirus (
Covid-19) pandemic.
In September, passenger car exports on product groups were 899 million dollars with a 7% decrease compared to the same month of the previous year; The supply industry's foreign sales increased by 5.5 percent to 979 million dollars, exports of motor vehicles for transporting goods increased by 12 percent to 489 million dollars, and bus-minibus-midibus exports increased by 2 percent to 159 million dollars.
Last month, Germany, the largest market on a country basis, exported $ 334 million with a decrease of 0.73 percent compared to September 2019, $ 305 million to France with an increase of 20 percent, and $ 282 million to the United Kingdom, an increase of 42 percent. .
In September exports, 18 percent to Italy, 21 percent to Spain, 23 percent to Slovenia and 51 percent to the Netherlands; Poland rose 25 percent, Belgium 15.5 percent, Romania 14 percent, Israel 37 percent, Morocco 24 percent and Egypt is recorded with 41 percent.
Based on the country group, exports to the European Union (EU) countries increased by 1 percent to $ 1 billion 995 million. EU countries, which have a 76.6 percent share in exports, again took the first place. Exports to Oceania countries were 63 percent.
