Beginning of a new era in agriculture. "Smart Agriculture Practices Training Center" cooperation protocol will be signed tomorrow.
According to the statement made by the
Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, joint studies with universities started after the cooperation protocol signed with the Council of Higher Education on January 15.
In this framework, a protocol was signed with Gebze Technical University to develop the infrastructure by developing smart agricultural practices and to provide training and extension services for staff, students and farmers through research and development activities. Within the scope of the said protocol, it was decided on the campus where Gebze Technical University and Çayırova Seed Certification Test Directorate of the Ministry are located together, which is seen as a summary of the Turkish agricultural history, which is important for the Turkish agricultural history, regarding the execution of business and transactions.
The campus, which started horticultural training with the protocol, and then provides training on agriculture and home economics at secondary and high school level, will be transformed into a center that both practices and provides training using smart farming techniques such as drone, sensors and tissue culture.

This study initiated in the field of "smart agriculture" will herald the technological and digital transformation in agriculture. The foundation of the start will be laid with the protocol to be signed tomorrow at the opening of the Gebze Technical University academic year with the participation of
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli.
Minister Pakdemirli will give "Digital Agriculture, Smart Agriculture Practices Training Opening Course" within the scope of the academic year opening. In addition, Minister Pakdemirli will promote "Led Supported Vertical Agricultural Production Areas".
With the creation of smart agricultural areas, a new era will begin in agriculture and technology will be used more strongly.
