automobile and
light commercial vehicle market in January 2020 was 27,273 units. Sales increased by 89.75 percent compared to the total of 14,373 vehicles in January 2019 in the passenger car and light commercial vehicle market. Passenger car and light commercial vehicle market, on the other hand, contracted by 13.37 percent compared to the average 10-year January sales.
In January, excluding light commercial vehicles, only automobile sales increased by 100.53 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and became 22 thousand 16 units. Last year, 10 thousand 979 sales were made. The automobile market shrank by 2.10 percent compared to the average sales for 10 years in January.
Looking at the light commercial vehicle market, sales increased by 54.89 percent compared to January 2019 and recorded at a level of 5,257 units. While the light commercial vehicle market shrank 41.56 percent compared to the average sales for 10 years in January, the sales of January last year were recorded at the level of 3 thousand 394.
14 ELECTRIC AND 797 HYBRID AUTOMOBILE SOLD IN JANUARY
In January 2020, automobile sales below 1600cc increased by 100.3 percent, automobile sales with engine volumes in the range of 1600-2000cc decreased by 30.3 percent and vehicles above 2000cc decreased by 60 percent. In January, 14 electric and 797 hybrid cars were sold.
In January, automobiles in the automobile market were between 42.81 percent and 100-120 gr / km, with the highest share, according to average emission values, with 9 426 units. In the light commercial vehicle market, when it is evaluated by body type, the highest sales volume was reached by 3,786 units and 72.02 percent of the van. Afterwards, pickups were lined up with 705 and 13.41 percent, minibuses with 422 and 8.03 percent and 344 with 6.54 percent.
The total market of the automotive industry in 2020 is estimated to be in the range of 575-625 thousand units.
