Hyundai Motor reported that the disruption in the supply of parts by the new
coronavirus epidemic in China has caused production to stop production at factories in South Korea. The biggest reason for the Far Eastern manufacturer to take this decision is that the companies in the supply chain are affected by the
Corona virus. A Hyundai spokesman, who spoke to
Reuters, confirmed that most of the brand's 7 plants in Korea will remain closed for 3 or 4 days as of February 7.
Hyundai Motor official said in a statement that if the disruption in parts supply deepens, production will stop on 7 or 11 February in all of its factories in South Korea. South Korea imported
$ 1.56 billion of vehicle parts from China in 2019.
