Biden Continues to Sign Decrees

US President Joe Biden continues to sign decrees. The 2 decrees signed by Biden today were aimed at low-income people and federal employees who were in a major bottleneck in the coronavirus epidemic.

Joe Biden, who took over the Presidency from Donald Trump on January 20, continues to sign a decree. Biden, who has signed many decrees since the day he took office, accelerated his moves towards the epidemic and the economy. Biden, who held a press conference in the White House and stated that the coronavirus epidemic seriously affected all segments in the country, said, "We must act now for Americans in difficult conditions, we must take decisive and strong steps." Pointing out that the economic crisis in the country has deepened and the number of people who lost their lives due to the epidemic is increasing day by day, Biden said, “Most of America is in a difficult situation, the virus is spreading, families are starving, people are in danger of being removed from their homes and layoffs are increasing again. We must act immediately.” Biden said that the $ 2 trillion economic package signed in the past weeks receives support from many sectors as well as from the business world, and if the necessary steps are taken, the American economy will become stronger in both the short and long term. US President Biden signed two more presidential decrees after the press conference. One decree allowed low-income citizens to receive faster support package benefits and increased food aid to children of families in need, while the other included raising the minimum hourly wage for federal employees to $ 15. Biden signed many decrees on the 3rd day of his inauguration and managed to erase many traces of the previous President Donald Trump's term.
