Binance Recovered Some Cryptocurrencies Stolen From Axie Infinity
Binance recovered some cryptocurrencies stolen from Axie Infinity. As we reported earlier Axie Infinity had been hacked.
Changpeng Zhao, CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Binance, made a statement on his Twitter account today about the funds stolen from
Axie Infinity. As it is known, the popular Play2Earn game Axie Infinity was hacked. According to the latest information given by the exchange, Binance has managed to recover a small portion of the stolen funds.
Changpeng Zhao, CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Binance, announced on his Twitter account that they managed to recover $5.8 million worth of cryptocurrency stolen from Axie Infinity, which was attacked by North Korea.
Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, said:
"The hacking group that stole the funds started moving the funds today. Some of these funds were transferred to Binance and divided into 86 accounts. The $5.8 million funds dumped into Binance were recovered."
In addition, the Ronin bridge used by the players of
Axie Infinity, one of the popular play-to-win games, was hacked last month. Hackers stole about $625 million worth of crypto assets. As a final reminder, hackers previously used the privacy tool Tornado Cash to convert stolen funds into Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies.
