BIST 100 Closed Monday with a Fall
BIST 100 index closed Monday with a fall. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day at 2,172.48 points with 0.14 percent depreciation.
At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the
BIST 100 index, which decreased by 3.03 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 28.5 billion TL.
At the closing, the banking index lost 0.38 percent, while the holding index gained 0.39 percent. Among the sector indices, transportation was the highest earner with 2.72 percent, while the most decline was recorded on securities and investment partnerships with 3.48 percent.
Analysts noted that the Russia-Ukraine war continues to be determinant on pricing on a global basis, and stated that a volatile course prevails in the stock markets.
Stating that the statements of the US Central Bank and European Central Bank officials will be at the center of the markets tomorrow, the analysts said that the statements of the
Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, Şahap Kavcıoğlu will be followed at the general assembly meeting of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey.
Analysts noted that the consumer confidence index in the USA, the number of JOLTS job vacancies and housing sales, the unemployment rate in Japan, and the GfK consumer confidence index in Germany will be monitored closely.
It was stated that the levels of 2.150 and 2.130 are in the support position and the level of 2.195 stands out as the resistance for the BIST 100 index.
