BIST 100 Closed the Day with a Decline

BIST 100 closed the day with decline. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index lost 0.84 percent and ended the day with 1,415.03 points.

At the end of the day, the BIST 100 index decreased by 12.03 points compared to the previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 17.9 billion liras. At the closing, the banking index lost 1.42 percent, while the holding index lost 0.87 percent. Among the industry indices, electricity was the most profitable with 1.31 percent, while the highest decline was recorded on sports with 4.40 percent. Analysts stated that inflation concerns, the recovery in economies after the coronavirus epidemic and uncertainties regarding monetary policies caused a mixed course in global markets. It was stated that tomorrow the data agenda will be followed, including the domestic financial stability report and the foreign trade balance and economic confidence index, while the confidence indices to be announced in the Eurozone, personal income and expenditures in the USA, and the confidence index of the University of Michigan will be monitored abroad. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.390 is in the support position and the level of 1.470 is in the resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
