In Borsa Istanbul, BIST 100 closed the day with profit. The index gained 1.29 percent in Monday's trading and closed the day at 1.492.45 points. While the BIST 100 index increased by 19.00 points compared to the previous closing, the total transaction volume was recorded at the level of 25.9 billion liras. Banking index increased by 1.49 percent while the holding index increased by 2.18 percent. Mining was the highest earning among sector indices with 5.94 percent, while tourism was the most declining with 1.38 percent. The BIST 100 index, which had a positive trend all day, reached over 1,500.00 points with the positive effect of the decline in exchange rates. Global stock markets remained positive, with the positive news flow in Europe regarding the supply of the coronavirus vaccine and the expectations for the stimulus package in the USA. Growth data in the Eurozone will be closely monitored tomorrow.
