BIST 100 Closed the Week with a Record

BIST 100 index closed the week with a record. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day with a gain of 1.61% at 1,910.41 points, closing the highest of all time.

At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which increased by 30.35 points compared to the previous closing, was recorded as 30.2 billion TL. At the close, the banking index gained 0.95 percent, while the holding index gained 2.55 percent. Among the sector indices, the highest earner was construction with 6.03 percent, while the only decline was recorded on chemistry, petroleum and plastics with 0.07 percent. The BIST 100 index brought its highest record to 1,914.13 points and its closing record to 1,910.41 points. Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), in its announcement today, stated that it intervened directly in the market in the direction of selling due to the unhealthy price formations in the exchange rates. It was stated that the Treasury cash balance, market participants survey, labor statistics, real effective exchange rate in the country, growth in the Eurozone and Japan, inflation in China and the USA will be monitored closely next week, In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.920 is in a position of resistance and the level of 1.790 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
