BIST 100 Started Thursday With An Increase

BIST 100 index started Thursday with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 1,865.04 points with an increase of 0.41 percent.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 7.64 points and 0.41 percent compared to the previous close, rose to an all-time high with 1,865.04 points. While the banking index gained 0.37 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.33 percent. Among the sector indices, metal goods and machinery were the highest earners with 1.12 percent, while the most decline was recorded on forest, paper and printing with 0.86 percent. With the upward revision of Turkey's growth expectations by international organizations, the BIST 100 index, which gained 2.64 percent yesterday, broke the closing record with 1,857.40 points. US Federal Reserve (Fed) Chairman Jerome Powell, in his statement in the US House of Representatives yesterday, reiterated that high inflation is expected to continue until the second half of 2022. Analysts, who emphasized that the Fed's end of asset purchases faster than expected after the pressure of increasing inflation and the pricing that may increase interest rates before the forecasts, increased the volatility in the markets, today the investor meeting of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), export figures and weekly money and bank statistics, unemployment rate and Producer Price Index (PPI) in the Eurozone will be monitored closely. Analysts stated that after the CBRT's direct foreign exchange interventions yesterday, the foreign exchange market will also be monitored. In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1.870 and 1.890 are in the resistance position and the level of 1.790 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
