BIST 100 Index Closed the Day with an Increase

BIST 100 index closed the day with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.14 percent and finished the day with 1,474.13 points.

At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which increased by 2.06 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 13.5 billion TL. At the close, the banking index depreciated by 0.36 percent, while the holding index gained 0.13 percent. Among the sector indices, tourism was the highest earner with 1.93 percent, while the most decline was recorded on metal main industry with 1.00 percent. Analysts stated that the search for direction continues after mixed signals from macroeconomic data and increasing uncertainties in global stock markets. Analysts said that money inflow and positive divergence attracted attention due to relatively cheap pricing in Borsa Istanbul, and that the good growth data supported the positive course in the domestic markets. It was stated that tomorrow, export figures in the country, Producer Price Index (PPI) in the Eurozone, factory orders and weekly unemployment applications in the USA will be monitored abroad. In technical terms, it was stated that if the BIST 100 index is maintained above the level of 1.470, the level of 1.490 will be in a position of resistance, and in the downward movements, the level of 1.440 will stand out as the support.
