BIST 100 Index Closed The Day With An Increase on September 17
BIST 100 index closed the day with an increase on September 17. In Borsa Istanbul, BIST 100 index gained 0.10 percent and finished at 1,419.43 points.
At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the
BIST 100 index, which increased by 1.39 points compared to the previous closing, was recorded as 12.8 billion liras.
While the banking index depreciated by 0.65 percent at the close, the holding index gained 0.72 percent. Among the sector indices, transportation was the highest earner with 2.34 percent, while the most decline was recorded on SME Industry with 2.69 percent.
Analysts noted that the search for direction in the stock markets came to the fore with the concerns about the effects of the coronavirus epidemic on the global economic recovery and the uncertainties about the course of monetary policies.
It was stated that the interest rate decision, consumer confidence index and sectoral confidence indices to be announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) at the Monetary Policy Committee meeting, and the rate decisions of the US Federal Reserve, Bank of England, and the Bank of Japan will be announced, as well as the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI), will be closely monitored.
In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.390 stands out as the support and the level of 1.430 is in a position of resistance for the
BIST 100 index.
