BIST 100 Index Closed The Week With A Decline
BIST 100 index closed the week with a decline. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index lost 0.26 percent and ended the day with 1,397.82 points.
At the end of the day, the
BIST 100 index decreased by 3.70 points compared to its previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 15.1 billion liras.
At the closing, the banking index lost its value by 0.16 percent, while the holding index gained 1.11 percent. Among the industry indices, tourism earned the most with 3.89 percent, while highest loss was recorded on financial leasing and factoring with 3.79 percent.
Analysts stated that the inflation concerns and the parallel increase in the US's 10-year interest rate caused pressure on the assets of developing countries.
Next week, the interest rate decision, inflation, CBRT expectation survey to be announced at the Monetary Policy Committee meeting of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) will be monitored domestically. It was noted that the intense data agenda will be monitored abroad, especially the employment report to be announced, the interest rate decision of the Bank of England, the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) to be announced worldwide along with the speeches of the Chairman of the Federal Reserve of the USA, Jerome Powell, and the President of the
European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde.
In technical terms, analysts stated that in the BIST 100 index, if a persistence of over 1,400 points can be achieved, 1,440 resistance will come to the agenda, while the level of 1,340 is in a support position for possible declines.
