BIST 100 Index Closed Tuesday With An Increase

BIST 100 index closed Tuesday with an increase. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 1.31 percent and finished the day with 1.392.00 points.

At the end of the day, the BIST 100 index increased by 18.00 points compared to the previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 16.5 billion liras. At the closing, the banking index lost 0.60 percent, while the holding index gained 1.41 percent. Among the industry indices, tourism earned the most with 5.63 percent, while the highest decline was recorded on securities investment partnership with 1.56 percent. Analysts stated that the US Federal Reserve (FED) interest rate decision to be announced tomorrow and the evaluations of FED Chairman Jerome Powell will be at the focus of the markets. In addition, it was stated that the course of commodity prices and the announced company financial results will be determinant on investor decisions. In technical terms, analysts stated that the 1.300-1.310 band is in the support position for the BIST 100 index, and a persistence of over 1.400 points will be sought in order for possible increases to gain strength.
