BIST 100 index ends Thursday with gains. BIST 100 index gained 0.52 percent in Borsa Istanbul and closed the day with 1,456.68 points.

At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which increased by 7.51 points compared to the previous closing, was recorded as 16.3 billion TL. At the close, the banking index gained 1.19 percent, while the holding index gained 0.45 percent. Among the sector indices, sports with 5.83 percent gained the most, while the most decline was recorded on tourism with 1.26 percent. Analysts stated that the expectation that the supportive stance in fiscal and monetary policies will continue despite the increasing inflation caused a positive course in the stock markets. Noting that US President Joe Biden's news flow from his tour in Europe is at the center of the agenda, analysts stated that the industrial production index and expectations survey statistics in the country, the consumer confidence index to be announced in the USA and growth in the UK will be closely monitored tomorrow. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1,390 stands out as support and the level of 1.470 is in the resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
