BIST 100 Index Started Friday With An Increase

BIST 100 index started Friday with an increase. BIST 100 index gained 0.31% in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1,461.22 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 4.54 points and 0.31 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1,461.22 points. While the banking index gained 0.37 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.21 percent. Among the sector indices, chemistry, petroleum and plastics were the highest earners with 0.45 percent, while the most decline was recorded on construction with 0.29 percent. A positive trend was observed in Borsa Istanbul yesterday and the BIST 100 index, which gained 0.52 percent value, ended the day with 1,456.68 points. Analysts stated that after the inflation data announced in the USA yesterday and the European Central Bank (ECB) did not make any changes in policy rates and asset purchases, pricing in global stock markets that inflation may be temporary came to the fore. While it was stated that the news flow from the EU tour of US President Joe Biden is at the center of the agenda, it was noted that today's data calendar includes the industrial production index and the Market Participants Survey of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, and the consumer confidence index to be announced in the USA. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1,390 stands out as support and the level of 1.470 is in the resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
