BIST 100 Index Made the Best Closing in 8 Months BIST 100 index made the best closing in 8 months. BIST 100 index gained 1.06 percent in Borsa Istanbul and closed the day with 1,205.37 points. In the BIST 100 index, which increased by 12.64 points compared to its previous closing, the total transaction volume was recorded as 22.2 billion liras. At the closing, the banking index gained 4.41 percent, while the holding index gained 1.66 percent. Among the industry indices, tourism earned the most with 6.52 percent, while electricity experienced the biggest loss with 1.53 percent. The BIST 100 index, which broke the 1,200 resistance thanks to the bank shares, closed the day with 1,205.37 points and was the highest close of the index since February 17. Indicating that the domestic data agenda is stable tomorrow, analysts said that the Producer Price Index (PPI) in Germany, foreign trade balance in the Eurozone, construction permits in the USA and housing starts will be monitored abroad. In technical terms, analysts point out that 1,180 and 1,150 points in the BIST 100 index are in support; also noted that if there are closures above 1,210, 1,220 points may come to the agenda.
