BIST 100 index started Friday horizontally. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with a horizontal movement at 1,444.82 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which increased by 0.36 points and 0.02 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,444.82 points.
While the banking index gained 0.11 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.02 percent. Among the sector indices, sports with the highest gain of 1.12 percent, while the highest decline was recorded on trade with 0.99 percent.
Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul ended the day at 1,444.46 points with an increase of 2.38 percent, after the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) did not change its policy rate and kept its "tight stance" message regarding monetary policy.
The
CBRT's 17.5 billion TL swap agreement with the Central Bank of South Korea and the continued strong course of industrial production in June played a role in yesterday's positive movement of Turkish lira assets.
Analysts said that the continuing increase in the number of coronavirus cases worldwide, the Chinese authorities' market regulation and the search for more clues about the calendar the US Federal Reserve will follow in reducing its asset purchases have put pressure on the stock markets.
It was stated that today, the domestic balance of payments and housing sales statistics, foreign trade in the Eurozone and the University of Michigan Consumer Confidence Index in the USA will be closely monitored.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1,470 stands out as the resistance and the level of 1,390 stands out as support for the BIST 100 index.
