BIST 100 index started Friday with a rise on August 27. BIST 100 index gained 0.16% in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1.450.87 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which increased by 2.35 points and 0.16 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1,450.87 points. While the banking index gained 0.23 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.13 percent. Among the sector indices, sports with 0.40 percent gained the most, while the most decline was recorded on transportation with 0.35 percent. Yesterday, BIST 100 index depreciated by 0.33 percent in Borsa Istanbul and finished the day with 1,448.52 points. Analysts stated that before the speech of the US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell at the Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium at 5 pm today, a fluctuating course was observed in the global markets. It was stated that today, the domestic economic confidence index, personal incomes and expenditures in the USA will be followed closely. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1,440 stood out as support and the level of 1,470 as resistance for the BIST 100 index.
