BIST 100 index started Friday with gains. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.08 percent and started the day at 1,398.04 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which increased by 1.12 points and 0.08 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,398.04 points. At the opening, the banking index gained 0.05 percent, while the holding index lost 0.06 percent. Among the sector indices, electricity was the highest earner with 0.51 percent, while the most decline was recorded on financial leasing and factoring with 1 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day at 1,396.92 points with an increase of 1.84 percent due to the decreasing risk perception in global markets. Analysts noted that the positive mood in the global markets, with the agreement on the debt limit in the USA and the partial calming of commodity prices, continued today. It was stated that the employment report data to be announced in the USA may be determinative on the direction of the markets. In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1.370 and 1.355 will be followed as support, and the level of 1.420 is in a position of resistance for the BIST 100 index.
